SEEING IT

Twilight launch: at liftoff the sun is about 15° below the horizon at the pad, after sunset. A few minutes into flight the rocket climbs into sunlight while the ground is still dark, so its exhaust plume can glow across the sky for a wide region, the "jellyfish" effect. Clear skies are the other half.
